Lee, I cleaned the gear box out of the old grease and re lubed and reassembled the noisy truck.
Ran it for about 45 min strait in the direction it was making noise in.I have about 7 fright cars and a caboose. The loco is running very well without any clicking now.
I will do a video soon. I like to post to my YouTube.  If you like you can see them on my channel

Thanks Again Chris

Thanks Lee I will double check it again. I was wondering how long a break in period was. I know its just a rule of thumb. Gives me an idea.
Thanks, Chris

Williams by Bachmann / Trainmaster clicking noise
July 29, 2013, 08:44:11 PM
I just picked up a WBB Trainmaster. When I run it forward it runs fine. When I run it in reverse
one of the trucks makes a clicking noise. It seams to run fine but it clicks.
I have disassembled it and add a little grease to the worm and gear also checked for any
thing that might be in the Gear box.
Any suggestions?

I think i see what your saying 671. I plan on adding the Drop in sound system when they become available. I just don't want it to sound like a revved up dragster ready to drop the clutch before it starts to move when the motors are wired in series.  :). Currently wiring in series helps with low speed , brighter lights and the horn or bell.

I was wondering if you had a older Williams Diesel that you have wired the motors in series.
How would this effect the Soundtraxx sounds? like the steps in the prime mover sounds.
for example a loco that is stock starts moving around 6 volts. a modified unit with the motors wired
in series starts to move around 8 volts.
Would the higher volts cause the rev to be higher?

Williams by Bachmann / Rolling stock Trucks
January 10, 2013, 02:22:13 PM
Does anyone know when Williams introduced  the new truck style that is on the newer rolling stock?
Some on the truck frames come apart with the removal of four screws.that seams to be the newer style.
the others come apart by squeezing two tabs together to release the sideframes.
