HO / Re: HO Locomotives not running properly

Believe what Jonathan is speaking of is called the slot table, this will need to be cleared if your not dispatching your locomotives after shutting off your system or removing them from the layout
There should be 100 or so slots but they will fill up with continued use of the layout,
One thing you don't say is which controller you have, if Its a Digitrax controller you
Can try this. place one of the offending engines on the layout and on your controller enter loco and then the number your using then push DIS".(Dispatch) then loco again this should clear the number from the slot table. Then push loco + the number and loco again and see if it solves the problem.
Also your problem could be with the decoder itself which in that case best bet would be to reset the decoder back to factory specs.referr to your loco instructions manual.

Think you'll find rather than dual motored  (DD40x excepted) that dual gearboxes powered by a single motor are the norm!

Very interesting' I've only come across a few ,always thought it would be a good idea as the one I had a Virginian 2-8-8-0 by Westside could pull the ties behind it up lol think PFM may have built a few though never came across one.
Would appreciate any information as to builders etc. just for my own knowledge.

Thanks Larry.

and in case your speaking of the steam type of engine with as you say two motors that would be the articulated  which has not two motors but two engines ;D
Articulated steam locomotives in HO scale often times have two motors inside.

Actually articulates with twin motors  are quite rare ,though Westside did several and they also did a triplex with 3......2 in the superstructure and 1 in the tender.
