Better still a simple replacement chassis with metal gears for the Connie  so that those of us with stripped gear Connies can get them working again.

Just got my garden railroad up and running, and tried to put together a long test-train.  To do that I have to mix Big-Hauler with Spectrum stock - and was disappointed to find that the coupling height was different.

Please could you explain why that is, Bacchy ?

I have had the same problem, the motion ran without power (having just got it out of the box).  When power was applied to the motor, the motor ran freely and the motion didn't.  I took off the gearbox cap, and found that the nylon gear on the axle appeared to have a crack on the shaft ?

EDIT : Just been in touch with the retailer who's contacting Bachmann Eurpoe - hopefully they can fix it

There you go Bacchy, a LOT of interest in a large boilered Conso.  Food for thought, perhaps ?

It's a great shame, because there isn't a ready-to-run Large boilrered Conso on the market - a HUGE gap.

Rather that produce models that other maunufactureres do (for instance the renowned K4) why not produce something that is needed ?

Sorry Bachhy I've just realised that IHC do a large boilered Conso.  Hmmmmmmmmmmm,  I'd much rather have a Bachmann built model.  S'pose it's the difference between buying a Ford or a Rolls Royce (sorry, Cadillac) and I know which I'd rather have
