2. Running dc only what are the recommended sound units/manufacturers/kits for this Loco? is there a drop in no fuss unit out there?

3. Where can I get a manual for this Beautiful Loco?

Dear Mud,
The loco will look and operate best on 1600 (eight foot diameter) track. Phoenix makes a sound unit that works on analog. Contact the service department for  manual.
Have fun!

I have one of those beautifull locos . I was quite pleasantly surprised when I opened the box as to the detail  on the loco. It looks so good I will probably use it only for display. I originally purchased it hoping it would run on 4'0 diam curves because of the blind driver. Will it run on the smaller curves.

Sierra Sountraxx also makes a sound unit for this loco,   It is an easy install, with easy to follow instructions.   They even offer to replace the sound unit if you blow it up during installation.

I know nothing about electronics, but was able to do it no problem,
