Title: dcc SOUND VALUE voltage poroblem
Post by: Luca Vianini on November 09, 2015, 01:12:29 AM
Hello everyone.
I purchased a 6940 Union Pacific item number 65153 DCC Sound Value On Board.
Using a digital Intellibox II.
It all works fine except when quickened, as well as some voltage, the locomotive suddenly block. I read that we must be careful not to give too much power when it is used in analog mode.
But I use it in digital.
Should I adjust some CV?
  Someone could help me?
Thank you in advance.

Can you rephrase your question sir? I'm having a hard time understanding what kind of problem you're having.

If I had to guess, it sounds like it stalls out at high speeds when run on DCC. As for why...?

Cheers,

Program CV 8 to 8

Turn  Intellibox II power off

Wait 15 seconds

Turn  Intellibox II power on

Make no changes to locomotive

Program CV 29 Bit 2 to 0

Run locomotive using address 3

Are the reported problems gone? If so you can now change to the address you wish to use.

What is the transformer AC  voltage output  to the Intellibox II?

Does the locomotive stop running when using the Left Controller, Right Controller or either controller.

Does the locomotive run without stopping  with the Intellibox  special options (SO) set to only use the DCC format?
SO # 25 = 1
SO #907 = 4
SO # 22 = 0
