Title: What Happened to the 80W Transformers?
Post by: gjohnson on July 13, 2013, 02:41:14 PM
Not a single online retailer carries them any more, which means Bachmann stopped selling them to them at least 6 months ago.  Is Bachmann getting out of analog trains entirely?  Is there a replacement?

Dear G,

If there are none available from Bachmann, the Atlas O Industrial Rail 1000080 Transformer is a good substitute.

Google will help you find one.

Also search on "bachmann 00233"

Check ebay.  Try 80W, 80 W, or 80 Watt, etc.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

The Bachmann 80W is the Atlas-O IR unit with a different label on it. Since Atlas-O is having on and off  production issues in China, I would expect that to also affect the availability of the WBB transformers too.
