hello
try this site

http://www.ontrackplant.com/thumbs.php?class=p_0716

this is a british site wich shows the european construction of the bachmann model with buffer.
I guess, the "american" version of the model is only removed the buffer, fits with knuckle coupler.
Cause on the us site from plasser there is no model shown

HO / Re: New Amtrak E60 Electric

hello,
so all joy of the model will gone at me, when it will be a standart model.
So perhaps it is better, to do further works on a american GK model.
It is not cheap to re-power the engine, but when you put in a sd75genesis drive unit, it is a very smooth runner. Then some additional things like cab interior, lighting, sommerfeld panthos, i will be a good loco, and for the age of the model well detailed.

hello,

as i whrote, all constructions, that are not spectrum standart will be a joke for this engine.
I guess, it will be made in the way like the HHp8 or the E33. if this will be, so i can order at minimum 8-10 engines.....to increase the fleet

HO / Re: electric locos

hello
yes, we oftes discussed about electric locos, but they are not announced. There are so many e-locos/train-sets, bachmann made in the past, but no chance, to made those (e60-metroliner etc...). I guess, the circle of persons is to small......who really built (working )
but so i wonder, why the e-33 and the hippo was done in a good quality.......
For our layout we need all those locos, they run on the  NEC....
and not only one from each model...

...would be a treacherous task to recreate the traffic levels of the NEC in HO?

i don`t know, if it is, but it is difficult enough, to do the soldering for the correct catenary and poles. You need lots of tracks, when you want to create a 4track runway....typical for the NEC.
And you need lots of engines (we own at the moment 10 bli gg1; 11 bachmann e33......)to create the traffic (remember, on the NEC runs every 2minutes a train...).
We startet with a "static" layout (the wilmington facilities), then we grow up and now we have about 20meters NEC and a little NT transit with the corrct poles and catenary and now we add 4,5 meters streetrunning......).
