Okay, it's a bit early, but how about we share our train-related resolutions for 2008? Mine are:
Finish both of my E60's
Repaint my E33
Find an Atlas AEM-7
Get started on that SW1200MG kitbash I've been contemplating for months now
Try to have a roster with more active locomotives than canabalized ones :D
Not to make New Year's Resolutions.
Over the past 20 years, I've managed to keep that one without fail.
Hey Rog,
25 years & still the only one I ever kept.
Barry
1. Finish layout trackplan
2. Begin layout construction
3. Get a job
4. Buy myself some more K-27's
5. Buy some rolling stock
6. Become proficient at hand laying track.
...;D...
Mine are:
1. Be good with flextrack.
2. Be good with cork roadbed.
3. Get the rest of my track.
4. Get a turntable.
5. Get a Challenger and a Big Boy.
6. Get A LOT more rolling stock.
7. Get more engines.
8. Think of more to add to my long list of thing to do. :o
Mine would be to not even think about Challengers or Big Boys but to justify another C&O H8 with sound.
Merry Fourth Day of Christmas
Gene
1. Work on layout
2. build structure kits
3.Finish weathering T&P caboose
4.Work on layout
5. work on layout
6.Work on layout...
Resolutions:
1. Work on getting my wife to let me keep the Christmas layout in the living for another year.
2. Get the lights working in my LS combine. After I installed the roller bearing wheel sets with pickups, they didn't work. I also installed some rear marker lights on it and they didn't work either. I might have crossed a wire somewhere. I passengerized it with Christmas figures.
3. Passengerize my On30 passenger car.
4. Get another Lionel O-27 horse car (the flat, not the box type car).
5. Maybe expand a little and make an "L" shaped Christmas layout. That will require some serious negotiation with Mrs. Claus. (See RES. 1)
6. Put reversing trolley trackage on the upper section of the Christmas layout.
7. Get a haircut. My hair is now down to butt-crack length and I'm going to donate it to "Locks of Love".
Dear Friends,
Resolutions:
1. Build my Bowser USRA Light Mike Super Detail kit.
2. Transfer my friend's 11' x 22' HO layout to my basement.
3. Build a garden RR for my Joey.
4. Get the Annie with battery r/c I want for my Joey.
Best Wishes,
Jack
GET MY @#$%N' NEW LAYOUT STATRED! ::)
Mine is the same as Gene's.
I would like to add an H-8 with sound to my layout.
Get the Thurmond terminal from COHS that I have on order and get it put together. That will probably take at least a year.
MC
1. organize my train rooms- I think I have 2 locos and a box full of track, but I can't find them in there. That will be an all-year project.
2. put scenery on the other half of my layout.
