I just received a Bachman 1:20.3 Forney inside frame locomotive. As with my two other Spectrum 1:20.3 engines, it's impressive. I had, however, read a review that criticized the position of the pistons as being too high...claiming a serious design flaw. I have done some research, looking at photographs from the late 19th century and detailed engravings from engineering magazines of that period and I found many locomotives, particularly Forney types, to have the piston rods clearly above the center line of the drive wheel axles. I would like to know if this issue has come up on this forum before and what the opinion is from Bachman.
Thank you.

Dear BL,
The model looks and operates fine. You obviously liked it enough to buy one. Enjoy it!
