I tried installing an EZ Command decoder in my Athearn AMD-103 which has a an 8 prong plug and it just doesn't work. For one the decoder doesn't seem to stay put with simple fingure pressure and comes out easily. Also does the bachmann decoder come pre programmed for channel 3 or does it require the use of the programming track?

HO / ez mate couplers stop working
May 05, 2008, 10:38:08 AM
I have a number of both Bachmann and Walthers Amfleet cars which have Bachmann EZ mate couplers. New and out of the box they work great. But after a while the EZ mates just woun't coupler any more! No mater what I do they just stop working.

I know this must be something I am doing but I can't for the life of me figure it out. also when they do couple going over a EZ track rerailer or a little hill they will uncouple.

Anyone have an idea as to what might be wrong?

HO / Broken #6 cross-over
May 03, 2008, 11:33:47 AM
I have a new #6 cross over on which the points have come off. It looks like one of the places that the point is bolted to the track just gave up with metal fatiuge.

What's Bachmann's replacement policy. I ordered these though the Bachmann website.

Thanks

I have a pair of HO Metroliners that are in excelent condition and I want to convert from hornhook to a magnetic coupler. I tried some Bachmann EZ mates but they don't seem to work. If I try to couple a standard Bachmann amfleet car or even a Walthers Amfleet the cars woun't couple. And if I am lucky to get them to couple, the Metroliners derail because the couplers are attached to a steering mechenizem on the trucks.

Any suggetions???? Also are there any specs out there for converting these units to DCC?

Thanks

I have a couple of Bachmann passenger cars, Amfleet and Acela that I need to get repaired. The wheels on the Amfleet seperated and can not be re-screwed together and I need couples for the Acela. I don't thnk that Bachmann covers rolling stock on their repair website but one of these seems to be a manufactuers defect.

If I can't get repairs then how do I get plans and parts for fix what's broke.
