I need a piece for a Life Like Proto E8. It is the piece on the lower front end that the coupler goes thru. I don't know if it is called the plow or whatever. I called Walthers that owns Life Like and they said that it has been discontinued and the parts are no longer available. I really don't want to have to buy an E8 dummy just to get the part. Besides I need three of them. I bought three custom painted shells at my LHS but the bottom front was not included. He suggested calling Walthers. Anyone know of a source for them. I would rather not have to fabricate them and possibly mess up the shells. Thanks

There is a switch inside of the acela enging marked SW1. What is it for. I am asking because I got this on ebay and the seller said it did not run. I switched the swith to the other position and it ran. I just want to know what the switch is for.

I have a Genisis 2-8-2 mikado that I needed a bolt for the pushrods which I received from Athearn. After putting in the bolt I placed it on the track, but it did not run. I attached wires from the transformer to the orange and dark grey wires from the jst 9 pin plug and it works. What is wrong.

I bought a used Athearn 2-8-2. It has an 9 pin plug coming from the Loco. There is no board inside the tender. The plug is about a half inch wide. What sound decoder should I buy. I want to be able to control the loco and also have sound. Thanks.

I bought several Proto 2000 E8's w/sound about a year ago. I thought they also had DCC installed. Evidently they do not. Can I just add adcc decoder and still have sound or do I need to add DCC and another sound decoder. In other words can I still use the sound decoder that is in it and just add a decoder. These were new in the box that I bought from Walthers. Thanks

Can the Dynamis be used with computer control software. Can the dynamis be connected to a computer either to the serial port or a usb port. Thanks

When is Dynamis going to be released. I bought one on ebay and the seller said December but has now said January or February. I don't want to wait that long because I am ready for DCC now. Mr Bachmann please answer.

If you search ebay there is a dynamis for sale. They actually don't have them yet, but they say they are guaranteed 4 of them. I ordered one so there are three left. It is a hobby shop located in Taunton Massachusetts. The price was $258 plus $12 shipping.
