HO / Connecting track
March 05, 2010, 11:35:32 AM
I have a #5 turnout track and I want to fit a straight one at the end of it. But it appears that I need a straight track with corners chipped so that 2 tracks can fit the straight and the turnout portion. Which piece do I need?

HO / Distance between tracks?
February 28, 2010, 07:11:46 PM
I wish to connect to #5 turnouts (44565) back to back so as to make parallel tracks - what would be the track separation between to the 2 parallel tracks?

Thanks

HO / Space between tracks
January 29, 2010, 05:27:58 PM
A newbie kind of question about Bachmann tracks with gray roadbed...
- Can I use 2 #6 left (or right) turnout tracks to make a crossover track? Will the straight parts remain parallel after the connecting the 2 turnouts? If so, what is the separation distance between the straight tracks then?

Thanks

The diagram with the packet says to the "Power Pack" - which one is it? Do I need to buy it separately?

Please see the attached picture to better understand my (vague) question.

HO / Power pack for #6 crossover turnout switches?
December 29, 2009, 08:05:23 PM
What power pack do I need for #6 crossover turnout switches? I bought a set of #6s but did not realize I needed separate power packs as I thought by using the green wires to the tracks will also supply power.
Please help.

Thanks

HO / What curved tracks should I buy?
December 19, 2009, 11:44:01 PM
I am planning 2 concentric oval tracks. I have a current 18" curve tracks.
What curvature should the outside oval track be - 22" ?
Also, if I use 22" for the outside track and I wish to use a crossover-turnout on the straight part of the oval tracks (to cross between the inner and outer tracks) then will a 18" and 22" curved ones fit with the 21.5" crossover turnouts?

HO / Connecting 2 tracks
December 19, 2009, 04:17:38 PM
I want to have two concentric oval tracks. I have one oval track that connects to a DCC unit to the AC adapter and one the tracks have a black section that comes with a connector on both sides. How do I connect the other oval track to the same unit? Do I have to buy a track section with a connector and can I connect both the tracks to the same DCC?

HO / Crossover-turnout tracks 44575/44576
December 19, 2009, 10:11:25 AM
I am a newbie so pardon my silly questions...

I am trying to make two concentric oval with 2 loco's. But I also want to have crossovers so I can control them switching tracks. I plan to use 44575 and 44576 on the straight parts of the ovals. My question is when I switch them - does these 44575 and 44576 come with 2 switches each (one for each of the tracks)? Does that mean I need to throw 4 switches in all ?

Are these electrical? I mean do the lights actually glow or they are just decorative pieces?

HO / Crossover turnouts
December 13, 2009, 07:41:08 PM
1. Are the crossover turnouts only available for long base trains? for $60 ???
2. Do these come with a switch? (like the regular turnouts). If so then do they 2 switches for the two ends of the turnout?

Pardon the basic questions.

HO / How to use left/right hand turns?
December 06, 2009, 06:51:18 PM
I have a Bachmann set with grey tracks and a DCC. If I have to use left and right hand turn tracks do I have to buy the tracks that come with switch or can I use the DCC to switch the tracks somehow?

As you can see it is a newbie question.
