DrWho 12?
These should be the two drawings for your engine:

http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/dwg/dwgs/LS4-4-0DCCWIRING.pdf

You can compare the DC and DCC drawings to see what you would have to do.
I don't think they made DCC ready locos back then, but everything seems to be
easy enough to get to and rewire.

I would try and find someone to 3D print a few for you.

N.H.&I.railfan,

Rather than mess with the old out of dat chassis and gears on th loco you have why not consider getting a new chassis with the Version 5 chassis.  The chassis are on sale now $45 and the version  5 is extremely reliable compared to what you have.

Since you did not say what loco you have I cannot make specific recommendations except to say this one will fit any Big Hauler 4-6-0 except for the paint colors.

Also see my commentary on repairs to the 4-6-0:

Have fun,

Both of these links are the same. They both point to the same chassis.

I tried all  and they all work.
Thank you!

The second link for part 4 works fine.
The second link for part 3 is the same as the second link for part 4. I get part 4 if I try the second link for part 3.
Neither of the first links work.

They still don't work for me.
I get a message saying the folder does not exist.
It doesn't time out. I get the message right away.

I had one engine that would not link no matter what I did.
It turned out to be a bad push button switch.
I replaced the switch and it linked fine.

All the drawings for the Forney are on the Bachmann site.

They show all the screws for the cab.

Rich,

Thanks for the heads up on suppliers and the possibility of a short in the DCC socket.

I posted this reply once before.
There has been a problem with the HO DoodleBug since day one. I don't know what scale an #81406 is. The NMRA 8-pin socket is mis-wired.
There is a pcb trace between pins 3 & 7. Instructions that came with the DoodleBug said there is a green wire between the pins. That is not true.
Pins 3 & 7 should not be connected together with a wire or a pcb trace. Remove whichever is present. This mistake could only cause trouble if
your decoder has a function wire connected to pin 3 and it gets energized.

Try http://www.microfasteners.com and search for brass.
They have quite a few.
