Are the controller and engines both set for the same number of speed steps?

There is a connection diagram on the Bachmann site that might be of some help chasing the power.

This PDF gives you information about the C19 chuff circuit.
http://www.phoenixsound.com/pdf/C19.pdf
It is about hooking up a Pheonix sound card, but it should
provide the info you need to hook up the Dallee sound card.
It tells you how to wire the chuff sensors. Make sure it provides
the correct polarity output for the Dallee. It was backwards on the K27.

I have a Bachmann 4-6-0 Emmett Kelly circus engines #49. We would like to have an engine to haul several circus cars.
Would one of these replacement drives fit this engine? Would it make it more suitable for the task?
What drive would one of the new Bachmann 4-6-0 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey engines have?
Would this be a better choice?

Bob
I looked at the parts diagram for the K-27 and it looks like the screw that holds
the counter weights on is #00219. It is on page 2 of 18.
That screw does not show at Bachmann as a K-27 part, but
according to the parts diagram it is correct. It shows as being in stock.
Do you have the parts diagram for the K-27? Look at it and see if you agree.
If you don't have it, it is available on Bachmann web site.

Please include the Lil Big Haulers. The adults are kitbashing them.
They are part of the large scale community.

I wanted to make sure that there was not something to do with the chuff connections causing a problem.
Chuff connections do not always provide the correct output for all different sound cards. You said the problem
was every revolution of the wheels. The chuff circuit operates every revolution of the wheels.
It won't hurt anything to try it. The chuff should be easy to disconnect.

Do you have the chuff sensors hooked up?
If you do, disconnect them and see if that makes any difference.

Bachmann sells brass track in 8 foot diameter.
Should be available at all authorized Bachmann dealers.
Here is a link to Bachmann online.

It is much less expensive at dealers.

Large / Re: L'il Big Haulers engine runs slow

Engines tend to pick up carpet fibers. The fibers get wound around the axels.
They could get in the drive system and bind the drive. Which Lil Big Hauler do you have?
I have a couple and could look at mine and see what might be going on.
You said it has no power when the cars are hooked up. Does the engine run ok without the cars?
If it does, check the wheels on the cars to make sure they are not binding and are free turning.

Where do you have this set up?
You are not running it on the floor on carpet are you?
