I have this set . the bolsters can be removed from the pass cars, but you wont have lights.all you need is a screwdriver and needle nose pliers. after you remove them the cars will roll smoothly. youll have to use a different electrical pickups on the wheels

I would love for bachmann to remake the metroliner set in their spectrum line. also athearn makes a great running p42 (own 2 of them) . They should they invented the drives everyone else uses in their locos.

It should be on bachmann, but you will probably end up paying shipping.I avoid this problem by repairing my locos

use a mr clean eraser and water, use plenty of water and take your time.If you do it right you wont remove the black paint.

walthers ll proto loco is a good loco. It has flaws to it. walthers is aware of the flaws and is going to redesign the loco to fix these flaws. I have one and it runs smooth and quiet. Its not a great puller[no traction tires] and other minor issues. the loco is the correct prototype

this loco is a nightmare, taking this loco apart to shim the bearing block is a waste of time. the loco still wont run right. check with spookshow on his website. these locos are basically shelf queens, they look nice but run like crap. the new heavymountain locos are excellent very close to kato quality
