Title: Drive shaft
Post by: nscaler711 on June 29, 2007, 06:16:58 PM
Where can i get a Drive shaft for my Bachmann F7A?
I seemed to have "lost" it.
Its been awhile since i drove it so im not sure where it went to.

Also is there any way i can shut this thing up......it is so loud it drowns out my stereo.....on full volume  ;)
Any help is welcome...very much so!

Give Bachmann a call, and ask themfor a drive shaft.

Well, as for the noise, most locos are pretty noisy in comparewith other brands.  I usually have to dismantle the entire loco and give it a cleaning and lub once a month, and that should reduce the noise.

i drove the F7A into the sink filled with water.....she was quiet for a few months before i stopped running her (she still ran even though she got wet....really wet)
But ive cleaned her and lubed her gears but she still is noisey.....do i need to run her into the sink again?

Btw there is a post about that story in this forum.

Also, when you put the loco back together, make sure all the gears and shaft line up correctly.
