HO / Power Supplies
April 23, 2010, 08:28:47 AM
I have a questions about Bachmann power Supplies and train engines.  Is there more than one type of power supplies for the Bachmann HO Engines?  If so how do you know what engines require what power supply?  I have a 6 volt power supply from the 70's, looking to replace my enigne and concerned about compatability with my power supply.

It was new about 25 years ago and didn't run very much, less than an hour of run time.  How can you tell if it is DC or DCC?  My son want to have it running and I wold like to figure it out and get it going.  I'll have to listen a little closer to to see if I hear a hum.  I have not taken the engine apart.  Any help would be appreciated.
