Title: ez track modifications needed to work super chief
Post by: gmcleod on January 24, 2009, 01:00:00 AM
My son and I are building an n scale lay out with 7 switches. I think the problem has something to do with the way power is routed on the switch.
does bachmann may an n scale with a insulated frog? The only way to get an loco to go through a switch is if the siding goes through a dead end . The switches in the lumber yard and the passing track result in the loco causing a short.

Any and all suggestion would be appreciated.

get your hands on some insulating fishplates such as Peco SL-311, and then use then instead of the metal ones on the point.
