Title: Bobber Caboose Interior Detail
Post by: cpaul on August 16, 2008, 04:17:22 PM
I would like to detail my Durango & Silverton bobber caboose interior.

Does anyone know where I could find out what the interior layout would have been around the turn of the century for one of these cabeese. :-)

Dear Chuck,
Pick up a copy of _A Century Plus Ten of Rio Grande Cars_ by Dr. Robert Sloan. It contains a wealth of information.
Have fun!

I painted the Interior of my D&S bobber caboose Interior Green, its a military aircraft color but it looks okay mainly picked it because I already had a jar of the paint lol. I also added cupola seats a stove and a bench seat.

Thing is though I also added windows so the interior is hardly visable unless you pick the car up and look through it with a flashlight shining in from the other side.  :-[

Marker lights & side window's are from an Aristocraft bobber caboose, cupola windows came from cutting up a CD case. All the Interior parts came from one of the EBT style Bachmann 4 axel cabeese
