Title: Type of E-Z Track in Rail Chief Set?
Post by: Earle Baldwin on September 23, 2011, 07:37:56 PM
I have purchased the Rail Chief set as a birthday present for my son's friend and plan to purchase additional track as part of his present. I would be deeply appreciative if someone would be kind enough to tell me what type of track - steel or nickel silver - is packaged with the set so I can get the proper type.

Thanks in advance,

Robert

Earle,

That set should have come with the steel track. The way to tell is if it has the black roadbed it is steel and the gray roadbed is nickel silver. Most modelers prefer NS as it conducts electricity better than the steel. You will be fine with the steel as long as you keep it clean. I would suggest not setting it up on the floor as your loco's will pickup carpet fibers, hair ,etc. Hope your son enjoy's it as much as we do. If you run into any problems feel free to come back and ask.

Hi, Jerry.

Thanks for the quick response. I figured it was packaged with the steel track but wanted to check before running out and buying the extra sections tomorrow.
