Title: Mounting Bachmann Passenger Trucks on the Long Caboose
Post by: kcsivils1 on March 08, 2012, 11:57:37 PM
Has anyone tried mounting a pair of Bachmann passenger trucks on the Maine long caboose?

I use couplers set at the On3 coupler height and will need to raise the caboose frame in order to do this but would like to visually retain some of the low slung look the model has.

I have never seen one of these models in person so have no idea if this is feasible. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I didn't do it under a caboose but i have some experience with those trucks.
I used spacers to get up to hight and glued the coupler housings to the trucks.
I had to do that because otherwise the trucks hit the coupler housings of the standard Bachmann frame.
Works fine.
