Great! Let us know how it looks when you get it.
It arrived yesterday and looks nice. No pictures as it looks exactly the picture in the Bachmann catalog (and I am lazy!!). Included in the box is a
postcard-sized memorial to Lee Ryan. I do like it.

I just got a call from Trainworld that the excursion cars are in and ready to be shipped; my car is on the way.

This past weekend at the Dayton train show I picked up a sealed box of two Midwest Quarry hoppers for forty dollars. The vendor had a few hundred On30 items available. The stuff is out there.

On30 / Re: Bachmann rail buses and trailers

I bought that same set with the idea of converting the trailer to a small single-truck trolley. Alas, the car is too small even for that so it will stay a railbus trailer. :(

I have one of those and took it over to a friend's HO layout to see how it ran:

We were both impressed.
The 2-6-0 did even better:

Well, except for a slight problem when we went to spin it:

The WBB Scale GG-1 will run on 042 minumin curves, of course looks better on 054 or wider. I would like a scale version of the as built 4899 paint scheme.

Even on O-72 it does not  look good:

Headlight pointed towards Chicago, coupler pointed towards St. Louis!  ;D

If you really want to bring smiles to us old "O" Gaugers, make it 3-2 convertable!

Most definitely!! I could use a couple of two-rail ones; or, at least ones easily converted.

Hi JP,

The Peter Witts will be shipping in June. We know they are late, but they will be worth the wait!

Regards,

3rail

Thank you. Is there any consideration of a second run of the Baltimore car with a different number?

Let's see:  Various Amtrak liveries, RTA, METRA, MBTA, VIA, CalTrain, and the Cabbage cars.  Is WBB game?

Add south Florida's Tri-Rail to that list; they have two F40s rostered; 810 & 811 (ex-AMTK #363 and 369). The long-forgotten Florida Fun Train also had three more that kept their Amtrak numbers: 354, 358, & 374, the paint job looked like it hit a paint truck at high speed.

I wish there was a way to put MTH's PS2 in them, since I run DCS.

There is; a friend has had DCS installed in Lionel, Atlas, and Williams engines.

If it is like the older Williams(about five years ago, maybe longer) sound systems by QSI in the F-7 diesels sets it will have a "Leaving station on track ten" announcement & bell & regular horn(not TB-2) along with motor revving sounds that are in proportion to the power supplied to the track. The horn does not work in the low power range and the bell don't work in the higher than idle speed.
Hope this helps you!

Lee F.

Thank you for that information; I recently got a Williams scale GG1 that has that board installed. Diesel sounds from a GG1?  ??? At least the horn sounds good.  I wonder if there is there a way to disable all but the horn.
