Title: Indiana Midwestern RR
Post by: sour rails on October 02, 2007, 08:27:18 PM
I am interested in finding all the railroad names dealing with Indiana. (predominately, with Indiana in the name)  I don't believe there is an Indiana Midwestern (I made up this name. ;D ), But I am wanting real railroad names.  I can only think of these two:

Indiana Harbor Belt
Muncie & Western

Please, I want to add to the list.
Thank you

Do you mean post-1900? I can think of at least five that had dissapeared by 1900.

There are currently two shortlines in Indiana that I know of: The Indiana Southern and the Louisville & Indianapolis. Both use ex-PRR trackage.

     I don't really care.
If it's Indiana, it'll work.  Who knows, I might just combine them all in one layout. :D NOT

Terra Haute & Indianapolis
Indianapolis & Vincennes
Madison & Indianapolis
Grand Rapids & Indiana
Steubenville & Indiana
Columbus, Chicago & Indiana Central
Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne, & Chicago (this was an important one)

All of these were PRR predecessors.
