I decided one night to create a layout, using EZ track, in the spare room. I ended up with a huge 8x10 layout, with a 60 degree crossover, two 90 degree crossovers, a pier set, a considerably long main, and lots of sidings and spurs. I have six DCC locos assigned to four addresses, one of which is my NHL train which I recently converted over to DCC. Wow! (I have to take some pics to post). I couldn't believe the layout ended up working out really well... and it's a good thing the 90 degree crossovers come with those 2" straights because I used all eight of them in various "odd" locations throughout the layout. I set it up on the hardwood floor, and used the lines in the floor to determine wether or not tracks were perpendicular! I still have the same configuration and like it a lot... how much space do you have to work with?
