Nice site, thanks. I hope Bachmann takes the hint  ;D ;D ;D . We could use a good baby face or road switcher.

You could get a few Walthers, Rapido, Intermountain, or Micro-trains cars, one or two of the new Bachmann GP-7's or Atlas units to pull it. While big trains went through these suburban town, they often didn't stop. This was the job for a local/secondary train.

It is now possible to do the complete Rutland roster in N. 9 RS-3's, 6 RS-1's, and their sole 70 tonner.  Congratulations. A neat railroad.

The cost of making separate decoder and non-decoder locos would probably run the cost of both up.

Bachmann's has been improving their standard line over the years. I would not be afraid to order one on that account.

Some very nice stuff, indeed. Thanks, Bachmann. Now, I hope that early phase RS-3 makes it over to our scale of a lesser god. Been wanting one of those for years. That turntable looks nice, also.

QuoteI do need to seriously ask: what is the logic behind the GP7? This is a well-covered prototype in N.

Simple, not a limited run item. Not all those road names are currently available, either.

Not wishing to belabor the point,  but will we be getting a coupler upgrade kit for the initial run of the 44 tonner? Would prefer automatic coupling.

I see the newer run of 44 tonners has an automatic coupler. Will this fit the older units? If so, will it be available soon as a replacement part? Thank you.

Didn't the F-2 have the same body as the early F-3?. Frank
