Title: Hawnthorn Village Bachman Train Collections
Post by: Newbiewan on August 14, 2008, 06:26:17 AM
I am a new comer to the hobby. My question is, I've recently purchased several sets of Bachmann train collection from Hawnthorn Village, that including the New York Central, I do not know what type of engine this is, also can I add DCC's capability the these trains? I've found a Digitrax Zephyr Stater Set-2.5 Amp at a garage sales for $15.00. Can I add this system to my layout? Help....

Thank You

Yes you can convert the hawthorn trains to DCC.

Buy the Zephyr !!

The Zephyr is an excellent starter system, and can easily be expanded.

Can you tell us if it's a diesel or a steam locomotive?  I concur with the Zephyr.

I'm guessing you did actually buy the Zephyr for $15.00.  If not, you should definitely have your head examined.  That's a killer of a deal, pardon us all for our envy.

Congratulations
