Title: Colorado & Southern Set Locomotive lubrication.
Post by: lroybark on November 20, 2009, 12:08:03 PM
I have a C & S Set and was not sure on what all to lubricate. The DVD that came with it showed a different Locomotive. It says to take the body off and lubricate several things inside...the problem is I can't seem to get the body off! Thanks for your help!!

There should be no need to disassemble the loco for basic lubrication. Using a needle type lubricator, place a SMALL drop of oil  on each side rod journal,  on each axle where it exits the frame, and the pilot axle. That's  it. The gearbox should not need any service for quite some time; about 50 hrs or so of running time.
