Large / Re: Name the new LS articulated contest?

I can see giving a nickname to the Consolidation and Anniversary since they are such long names, but this is a Mallet.  It is such a short name to begin with, why give it a nickname that is even longer than the original?  I am going to agree with az2rail on this one, just call it a Mallet.

General Discussion / Re: Meaning of Locomotive Numbers

Here, for an American (oo-OO) type locomotive (the same type as the famous GENERAL from the Civil War).

Whyte Classification -
4-4-0

French UIC -
2'-B

European Classification -
2-2-0

My site has a long list of locomotive classifications - http://hyaklocoworks.weebly.com/locomotive-classification.html

There is also the fact that the rail could be cut down to a smaller length such as say 1/4 foot long.  The shelf however would still need to be reinforced to hold the weight of the rail.

I would go for and Indy Mogul if it was re-released with an upgraded drivetrain

Steamy55,

Thanks for letting me know about the boiler diagram.  I have now gotten that fixed.  That is one problem with that website hosting group, you really got to watch file names.  I have already have to rename about eight files due that similar problem.  Oh well.  Glad you guys like it!

CCSII and darkdaniel100, thanks for the suggestion.  I will see what I can do today.

Update: I have PDFs for the 2-8-0 now.

DCC is a system that lets you control 1+ locomotives on any given track.  That means that you could have one loco stopped on the mainline with another one still moving.  With straight DC (which is what you currently have) if you have two locos on the main, both will move.

Onboard battery RC is where the power to a loco is located on the loco with a radio contol connection to the throttle.  With this, you would not have to provide power to the rails at all.

Since you have straight DC.  Yes you can run 2+ locomotives on one track.  However, both locos will respond to any throttle change.  The thing to watch is how fast do the locos run.  If they run at the same speed, then you should be fine.  You don't want one to run into the other one.

I am hoping some track powered people chime in soon as I run only battery RC....

The easiest way is to run two trains if one (or both) have onboard battery RC.  Or if you are running DCC.
