I've been saying for a while now that it'd be great to get a tanker troublesome truck.

I was just trying to say the idea is possible because look at how long the overland is. The only reason I don't see them doing it is because the train sets are meant for kids to start out with, something that will catch the children's eyes, so a realistic set with more dull colors wouldn't have the same effect. They'd probably start out with a shunting set or something first just to test it out and go from there, if they were to take the realism idea. I would love a realistic set though, I could always use more track and I tend to stay with steam locomotives, something about them is just mesmerizing in a way.
The thing about the overland set is the bright toylike colors and cars that are too modern for the steam era. It's two cars longer than what I showed, so add two more brown or boxcar red boxcars . Or black twin hoppers.
Quote from: Trainman203 on July 01, 2017, 01:03:20 PMBelieve me it's really not that long of a train, I mean just look at the overland set, there's a ton of cars there. I'd say there's nothing stopping bachmann and if they see enough interest they may go for it.
This is the kind of steam era freight train I am thinking of, using all currently available products. Accurate period cars and paint schemes, no loud toylike colors.
It may be a little long of a train but freights were long, and boxcars were predominant.
Quote from: RAM on June 26, 2017, 10:39:48 PMIts not that it's an only pull kinda thing, it's just the loco was shaped in such a fashion that they're meant to look really good with budd cars. The design was short lived so they were only able to pull budd cars before they all were retired. It's the loco in my profile picture. One still exists at the B&O museum. Anyways I'd like to know because walther discontinued almost all the ones what the loco would actually pull. So I need some to go with the loco.
I don't know why any locomotive was meant to pull only Budd cars.
Quote from: HLC Railroad on May 27, 2017, 05:46:08 PMThere's now a "Gunpowder Van" and a coach on that shop as well. Figure some people can get their coaches from there until Bachmann inevitably comes out with their own.
Here's some 3-D printed rolling stock if anyone wants it.

There's some different/more accurate slate wagons and a flatbed and another wagon of sorts that could maybe be used to make Cora. Just thought I'd share.
