I just acquired a bachmann diesel engine and I'm trying to find out what exactly IO have. Is there a place I can go to find out about it? It's a Union Pacific engine that has a number 9202 under the window. It also has a card decoder inside tagged "N860X-P02B. I'm pretty new at this and I know just enough to know what I don't know. Any help would be appreciated. I did not get a box with it.
thx
Ken
Also wanted to ad that it has Spectrum written on the bottom.
This should be it. N Scale Bachmann Spectrum Union Pacific GE Dash-8 40C UP 9202. It looks like it was released in 2003.

Thx terry. That does look like it. Now if I can just figure out what the card inside is, I'll be in business.
The 'card' is a PC Board with the pick-up, lights, and motor connections on it. This loco is Backmann item #85052, and is "DCC Ready". Which means there should be a 'dummy plug' installed on the PCB. Remove the 'dummy plug' and you can plug in the decoder of your choice for DCC operation. There may also be 8 solder pads, numbered 1 - 8, on the board for hard wiring a decoder in. If so, the color wire that goes to each pad can be found at the bottom of this diagram:

Thx Len for the info. The engine sort of runs, but I think it needs some cleaning and a little work I only gave $5 dollars for it so I figure I can use it for a learning experience if nothing else. At least now I know what I have.
