I have a 4-8-4 union pacific that's missind a cow catcher and has been cleaned twice a month for 3 years and am wondering how much it would go for if anyone knows and its ho scale plus during a move the draw bar to the tender has a piece snapped off so Ive used a twisty to hold the tender to the locomotive.the locomotive is capable of pulling up to 15 cars that have not been custom weighted and have plastic wheels.

Do you think that 0-8-0's could be used in my layout...I'm trying to make a post war layout when the railroads were shipping tanks on flatbeds and said they were special deliveries of cargo. I'm going to be using life like tanks that are half covered in molded plastic looking like covers over the tanks. i understand that usually in the post war era that they usually used 2-10-2 Rivarossi's and i think i would freelance my railroad fitting to my perfections and wantings.

Im also thinking its because the gears sre exposed under the train and dust and hair get tangled up in the meshed gears.

My friend has an N scale layout with nothing but a $20-$30 diesel engine, nothing expensive, his train starts making a high squealing noise when ran for about 30 minutes, why does it do that.I have some of the more expensive engines and mine don't do that.I ran mine for about 3 hours and it still didn't do that,Is it because its a cheap engine?

Because I bought the HO scale Bachmann Overland that comes with a 4-8-4 Union Pacific and was wondering what radius curve I needed.By the way.Does Bachmann sell replacment draw bars for tenders?I moved about a year ago and couldn't find the draw bar cause it broke of my tender that came with the Overland.
