Only the Tidmouth shed from Thomas will fit. You can modify any roundhouse to work.
Check this forum as I have posted pics of a Heljan roundhouse I modified to work.

Jerry

Thanks Jerry, nice pics btw....I took my walthers and removed some of the insides so I can now use it for a two stall rh....Appreciate the idea of modifing it..... :D

It would help the forum members to know what DCC system you are using and what type of decoder you have installed. The Turntable does not come with a factory installed decoder.

I called the Bachmann folks in Pa and they walked me thru it.....No where in the instructions does it say to attach the dcc powered track to the tt track that has the wire attached to it!!!!!!! Once done it worked as it should.....Many thanks to them and all those who replied here and showed an interest in helping me.....Kudos to you all...... ;D

Dear 51,
Simply consider the turntable as a locomotive. Assign it any any address, and use the direction control and speed control to use it.
Have fun!
the Bach-man

The TT's installed Decoder has the standard address 3, how do I change it???? This must be a simple procedure but it's got me stumped as the unit does not appear to do what it says in the manual.....I can't even change a loco address from 2 to 3......Getting frustrated fast!!!!!!  :-\

do you want to change the address? or remap the function key?

NM-Jeff

Hi Narrowminded, thanks for the reply.....I have a loco set at address "3" and thats what the turntable decoder is set at also, of course....I think I need to change the address and then set a function key, yes???? I would like to set the tt decoder to F1 and see if it works....I just set it up today.....Thanks again,John

Hi, can anyone tell me how to re-program the Decoder for the Bachmann DCC turntable using the Bachmann Dynamis DCC controller....The decoder is set for F3 and I need to change that.....Thanks...... ;D

Hello...Has anyone wired the Atlas 305 TT for DCC??? Any help would be appreciated.....Thanks..... ???

The Atlas comes with a reversing ring on it. Look at the diagram that comes with the TT.

Take time to read ALL the messages in this thread. So easy, a Cave person can do it.

Rich

That may be true but how do I wire the stall tracks to the roundhouse??? I am ok with the tracks leading to the tt from the layout but what about the stall tracks??? Thanks ;D

General Discussion / DCC advice
March 08, 2012, 10:41:23 AM
I hope I have not asked this before so please bear with me.....I have a 4x7 small HO layout and will run two consists at one time...Probably will not expand as most of my basement is taken up by S Gauge ......Have 3 Deisel loco's and a steam loco that are analog..... Should I even consider DCC? If so,which one would you folks advise given the info above? I would probably have decoders installed by someone in the above loco's.....What do you think?? Thanks in advance for your thoughts..... ;)

Mantua makes some:

http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/455-719525

Not sure if they are correct for the 4-4-0, but I use 'em.  The blues match up pretty well and makes a nice looking train.

They are out of stock at most places right now, but I see these at train shows all the time.

Regards,

Jonathan

Jonathan, are you running one combine and two passenger????? ;D
