Hello All,
I have a new problem (already wrote to service about getting some new parts).
My Bachmann H0 scale 2-8-0 DCC equipted Loco and tender has busted a bushing in two of the loco wheels and now will not run due to the alignment of the wheels.
Does anyone know if Bachmann sells the bushings?
And if not does anyone have a fix for this issue?
Thanks
Richard Willison
Hi Richard,
Are you referring to the spring loaded bearings (bushings) on the number 2 and 4 drivers?
The parts diagram doesn't list the bushings separately, but does show "Chassis Assembly" part number H11408.
Regards
no
this is a small
black plastic/rubber sleeve style bushing
I don't have a breakdown of the parts for this loco
Here's the diagram.
http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/dwg/dwgs/H836-IS001.PDF
The bushing are part of the wheel set (8 wheels, 4 axles, main rods and connecting rods, all rivetted together.) I seem to remember that at one time, the wheel sets were available as a line item, but Bob's diagram seems to imply that they are now available only as part of the chassis assembly.
May I suggest you give Bachmann Service Dept. a call (phone, don't email!) and tell them your problem. I doubt that they have the bushings as a separate item but they may be able to supply you with a wheel set. If that doesn't work out, email me and I will send you a couple of used bushing.
Thank you for the diagram
I may attempt to repair them myself before ordering a new chasis assy.
Ok Bachmann service is going to repair my unit free of charge
They are also sending for 18.00 and change a replacement wheel set
I will let you know how the Loco is and how long it takes to get it back
thanks
