I am making an oval 18" radius and 6 straight track per side, I also have inside that, a figure eight out of 15" radius, bridge over center crossing, How do I join these two tracks and keep the same layout? I do not have any turnouts yet. thank you
If I remember correctly, you need a crossover and/or a switch or two...
but I can't remember!!!

I would look up some good ways to connect the figure 8 to an oval, but I really do think you would need a crossover or switches.

Is this what you are talking about? The oval radius is 18". The figure 8 radius is 15" except that the radius of the turnouts is 18" and on the right side there are 2 1/3 18" pieces and two 1" straights. On the left side of the figure 8, there is one piece of 33 1/4" radius.

Not with that particular configuration. But it's something to look out for if the switches on one or the other track are both either left or right handed.

As Len said, in this case no, but you do have to be careful in your designs. I assume this was done with Anyrail? If so, it has a feature that will automatically checque for reversing sections that need to be dealt with.
I double checked it for any reverse loops by using my finger train. My fingernail pilot always came out facing the same way and never reversed itself. I did do it with Anyrail.
I don't know if I'm doing this right? Terry could you send me the parts list again, somehow I lost it, also what is the red mark on the left corner?
That little mark is like an anchor that holds the whole layout in one spot for when I move pieces around.
Here is the parts list. There are three 1" pieces in there. A fitter set only comes with two. You could try a different combination on the part that goes underneath and eliminate the 1" there so you would only have to buy one fitter pack. One 3" and two 2" would give you the same as two 3's and a 1".

I redid it again and eliminated the fitters. This one should be easier for you to do. The smallest piece is 2 1/4" so you don't have to buy the little fitter pieces. There's another 1/2 22" radius (on the figure 8 ) next to the one on the bottom part that I don't have marked in blue.
