Williams by Bachmann / MKT Girl's train Boxcar
October 12, 2010, 12:56:57 AM
Actually, the MKT DID have yellow boxcars.  Used for express service as head end cars in passenger trains.  However, the doors were yellow, not blue!

(Beech Grove is thge place Amtrak has heavy shops in IN>)

Williams by Bachmann / Bell going off in my GG1
August 29, 2010, 08:23:45 PM
Sometimes my horn is going off in my GG1.  I am using an MTH750 with the IR remote.  Track is RK Real Tracks, no switches.  Seems to sound off at low votages.  Shut engine down, restart, no problems.  What is causing the bell to activate.

Does WBB see a replacement coupler arm for the SD45?  Thanks!

Williams by Bachmann / Traditional GG1
January 09, 2010, 12:47:17 AM
I was thinking of getting the Lionel CC G.  But I remembered that those G's had Magetraction magnets that could cause issues with the operation of the unit.

Ma and Pa trains had one at a price I could handle, and love it.  It has more paint detail than the L version.  Pulls 5 REA refers and 5 9500 MPC PRR cars.

After oiling up and break in, ran for two hours straight on the HTOS layout.  Did not get hot!

Williams by Bachmann / Replacement bulbs.
November 08, 2009, 11:16:04 AM
I saw some 14V replacement bulbs at the Shack the other day.  They had the correct bases, but they were rated at 0.200 amps.  Will this work in diesels and/or passenger cars without burning up the bodies?

Thanks.

Williams by Bachmann / Body Screws
November 08, 2009, 11:12:58 AM
I had to change out a headlight on my SD90 MoPac Heritage.  I noticed something about the 4 body to frame screws.  WAY TOO TIGHT.  Actually, one of the tubes had a stress crack in it.  Once I took the frame back on, I ran the screws down, the backed off about 1/8 to 1/16 turn.  Body is secured but not over stressed.  Mr. B, you might want to check with the plat about that.

How do you past there.  Or at least a link there?  I have some W UP Heritage and 15" cars on layout I would like to share.

Thanks!

Williams by Bachmann / F40PH?

Let's see:  Various Amtrak liveries, RTA, METRA, MBTA, VIA, CalTrain, and the Cabbage cars.  Is WBB game?

Williams by Bachmann / Rumor control
September 14, 2009, 11:37:03 PM
I saw a post on the ORG Forum that WBB will be starting to place electronic in engines.  More than just the e-unit and TB-2.  True or False!

But, PLEASE, always have a line where you have motive power that is Conv!

Williams by Bachmann / New LRT Cars
September 12, 2009, 01:42:06 AM
If the PW trolleys are successful, is WBB considering modern LRT/Streetcar models?  You do make diesels from 44I and F units to 90MACS.  A newer LRT car would be refreshing!

Williams by Bachmann / Idea for FP 45 engines
July 12, 2009, 07:34:10 PM
Futeure liveries:

1.  ATSF mostly blue
2.  ATSF freight warbonnet
3.  F40C commute engine as delievered to haul comutes on MILW lines
4.  F40C RTA  (Were these repainted to RTA?)
5.  F40C METRA

OK, the F40C is NOT a FP45.  But you did use the SD90 body for the UP Heritage.....

Williams by Bachmann / First Generation LRT's
April 07, 2009, 12:35:51 AM
I think Bowser is getting out of making O-scale 3R first generation LRT cars, IE, trolleys.  To me, this is something WBB can get into.  Lots of traction companies out there, both street and interurban lines.  Some were even narrow gauge, so this could cross over into two lines.

BTW, lines like the St. Charles in New Orleans are consided by the Feds as LRT!

Williams by Bachmann / Stars on SP engines
March 17, 2009, 10:08:03 PM
I thought the stars on engines like 4449 were part of the DAYLIGHT thing.  No, they had pressured lubricators, which is why those drives had stars!

But on a model, the stars would be torn up if you had an drop an axle!

Williams by Bachmann / Metroliner Cab Cars
March 05, 2009, 10:12:54 PM
When Amtrak de-motored the first Metroliner cars, they turned them into cab cars.  Basicly, Amfleet I cab units.  Maybe you can make some out of the Metro molds, and then have a set of Amfleet cars with a cab car.  With a Ganesis, you can have a push-pull train!

Williams by Bachmann / Ex-Metroliner Cab Cars
March 04, 2009, 01:43:39 AM
How about a modified Metroliner car as a cab car.  Amtrak took the original ML units, took the pans and electrical stuff out, and made them cab ars for use with Amfleet equipment,  Should not take that much of the modification of the molds.

Also, how about business car 10001, made from a wrecked Amfleet car?

Williams by Bachmann / UP 8444
January 29, 2009, 09:24:05 PM
Next time you do the UP SD90's, how about making one as "8444" in "Flag" colors.

In the 1960's and 70's, UP renumbered steam engine 844 as 8444 so the 44 slot could be used for a GP30.  When the loco was retired, the steamer got her number back.

It seems the 8444 is unofficially considered the "7th Heritage Unit"  In fact, it was with the other 6 in an official UP photo shoot.  would consider getting if you made one in that number.

Williams by Bachmann / WBB Genesis Units
January 24, 2009, 10:12:54 PM
I saw a powered/unpowered WBB Genesis set today on a layout.  Ran for hours.  No problems.

The some high tech UP "Heritage" units ran.  Had all sorts of coupler/flange problems......

Amtrak units returned.  Ran like that battery bunny.

Guess what 3R locos I'll be buying from.......

Williams by Bachmann / SP U33C's
December 18, 2008, 08:28:36 PM
On the cab of the SP U33, there is the word "San Antonio".  That city in Texas was the base for many of those locomotives!
