We can't all be pleased all of the time - there'll be many upset they didn't announce Stepney, Boco, Stanley, Hiro, Molly, Billy..................

I'm delighted that the branch line coaches are being announced - the first of ANY range to do so unless I'm mistaken? At last, we have some more stock for the likes of Duck, Percy and co who wouldn't normally pull express carriages. I shall certainly be getting quite a few, and I dare say if made well, they'll appeal to UK modellers of the non-Thomas scene who could respray them into various liveries too.

I am waiting with baited breath.

At the moment I tend to doubt Culdee appearing; I reckon that render was Simply to keep the product promo consistent with all the other releases in the range; similar happened to Stepney I think.

Very nice!
Glad I own some of the Hornby ones, but the signal box and Brendam warehouse look especially good; may have to get the latter.

So blatantly fake; some of those episode titles are just so painstakingly poor and/or modifications of previous series titles.

Shame
Shame on whoever thought those up... :P

I believe it'll be about Autumn (September/October) time, after TOTB has been released; I believe this is to combat the continuity mismatch experience with the recent series-special releases.
Time will tell.

Time.

How many products do Bachmann make?
A lot.

They can't all be manufactured at once, so every product works like a queue; new models too.
A new model reaches first sample stage by reaching the front of this queue. Whilst that's being reviewed, other products in the queue are made.
When it comes to producing the second sample, that has to go to the back of the queue and wait its turn. That's why we have to wait so long for some products to be restocked and new ones to come- there's just so many products that the queue has a long waiting time.

Whilst I agree that updates would be nice; Bachmann is a big company with a lot going on and it's not always possible for someone to keep tabs on one thing.
That said, even a little word saying 'oh, it's a salt wagon with a CGI face' (for example) would be appreciated after this long I feel.... Just builds up the hype a little more I think.

So, 2014. Final predictions?

Oliver and Toad.

At a push; the red coaches.

Wish I didn't live in the UK for this reason :P I could talk their ears off trying to convince them to make Stepney.... ok, and Oliver too

It's nice that the Bach-Man does read all our posts for researcch - there's dedication for you (Thanks BM!)

Nice to hear an update on A&B too; hopefully we'll have pictures in Feb.
I can see this becoming the norm for a while; products announced are released the following year - a lot of companies are experiencing production issues which is leading to this as they try to balance out production of new and existing products.

Stepney I doubt would return just yet; he did have a cgi face in series 12 don't forget.

I'd put money on Oliver coming back personally...

Well, we're nearing the end of November and havent even had a sample-image yet so I highly doubt we'll see them before Christmas I'm afraid.

It's probable we won't be getting them until 2014 now going by this UK seller's description. They're usually reliable in what they post.

Seems this is the case these days; the engine(s) announced get released the following Summer.

He sounds remarkably similar to Rocky in my opinion. I'm undecided as to whether I like it or not. A scottish accent though I love as it adds to the variation.

Season 17 has been good for vocal development; Scottish, Brummie, whatever-Stephen's-is, Irish, French... whatever next?!
