I have tried AnyRail and found it very difficult to use.

Sorry about that!

I am asking about the autoreversing loop module.

How does it work?

How do you wire it?

Any other information regarding its use would be appreciated.

I am assuming that this reversing module can be used with NCE Power Cab DCC or does it have to be used with Bachmann equipment?

I am getting away from Large Scale.

I am currently planning an On30 layout.  I already have a lot of Bachmann rolling stock and several engines.  When I return from Germany I plan to sell most of my Large Scale equipment.  I should have started in On30 ten years ago!

I am trying to find information on the Bachmann Autoreverse unit but nothing comes up.

What exactly is this and how does it work?

How is it wired?

On30 / Re: On30 Shay Question

So I just have to wait for my Shay to  break and then send it off.

Is there any way to get the new gears in advance since they will eventually break?

Is it taboo to ask such a question?

It just seems that fixing the problem in the first place would be much cheaper than having to replace so many broken gears later, besides, what does it do to Bachmann's reputation?  It is no secret that these problems have been around for years.

I will probably get kicked off this forum, but what do you think?

Thanks for the reply.

Wouldn't it be more cost effective to redesign the gears rather than having to replace them every time some break?

Hello, Mr. Bachmann,

Can you address this question?

Have the gear issues been solved in the On30 Shay?

Is there any way of telling the latest version of the Shay from the earlier ones that might have been plagued with the gear breakage issue?

On30 / On30 Shay Question

I am thinking of buying one of these but I would like to know whether the gear issue has been resolved.

I can remember about 10 years ago this same problem affected various Large Scale engines.  I just cannot believe that Bachmann has allowed this problem to continue for so long without some sort of a fix.

Also, does the Porter have the same problem?

Does Bachmann still fixx these engines for free?

Len,

I do not quite understand what you are talking about.

Could you give some additional details and also a picture?

One of those pictures showed a 2-6-0 on a turntable with room to spare.

Is that a picture of the Atlas 9 Inch turntable?

If so, will a bachmann 4-6-0 also fit on it?

That would solve a lot of problems for if it will fit.

On30 / Atlas HO 9 Inch Turntable

I am planning to use two of these turntables on my layout.

Will they handle the On30 Shay?

Anyone have a picture of what they look like?

Thanks

Are the Peco turnouts with electrofrogs DCC compatible?

What about Atlas turnouts?  Are they also DCC compatible?

It looks like Atlas has a greater variety of switches in Code 83 HO track.

Hey,  thanks for the replies.

I still have about 6 months before I get back home from Germany to decide what way to go, however, I am leaning toward the use of HO track.  There are just so many components available compared to On30 track.

I am not a rivet counter and almost anyone who comes to visit will not notice the difference.  I like the 10 foot rule we used in Large scale.
