HO / HO EZ track turnouts
February 20, 2023, 07:47:27 PM
I have an oval track with 22 radius ez track curves.  I want to add turnouts at one end of the oval to make another path inside the existing oval.  I have a 2-8-4 locomotive. Which turnouts do I need to do this?

Thank you

General Discussion / Re: Parts (Turnout question)

I couldn't find how to start a new post.

Are the ez track turnouts as problematic as I have read about?
Thank you

I found a video that showed me how to do it.  All is good.

I just got a Bachmann HO 2-8-4 Berkshire Steam Locomotive, Nickel Plate No. 759, with DCC Sound Value and a Bachmann 44932 E-Z Command DCC Controller System.
I am a total novice at this.
I can get the engine to run and vary speeds with the chugging also varying.  The bell is ringing constantly, I think I started that and do not know how to stop it.  I got the whistle to work but I cannot again.  I do not know how to get the steam sounds to work or the lights.  The instructions for the engine and controller do not help me.
Are there other functions?
Please give detailed instructions for a novice like me.
Thank you.

When you say E-Z Command do you mean the do you mean the 44902?  I am a total novice when it comes to DCC.  The 44902 and the 44932 look to have all the same buttons, etc.
I am looking at buying a Bachmann 52404 HO Nickel Plate 2-8-4 Berkshire Steam Loco & Tender w/Sound & DCC, so I am looking for a controller for that.  I am on a tight budget for this so I am looking to save money.

Should I by Bachmann 44902 E-Z Command® Digital Command Control System or Bachmann 44932 E-Z Command® Digital Command Control System for a DCC with sound.  What is the difference?  I only intend to have one train on a single loop.

HO / Change from DC to DCCwith a new locomotive
January 27, 2021, 07:13:10 PM
I have BACHMANN Overland Limited Union Pacific RTR Ho Scale Train Set with a single loop.  I am looking at a Bachmann 52404 HO Nickel Plate 2-8-4 Berkshire Steam Loco & Tender w/Sound & DCC to replace the Overland Union Pacific 806 locomotive.
I want to power and control their locomotive's speed, direction, and lights and the whistle.
What controller do I need?  Do I need anything else?
Thank you!
