Title: How to remove cab from an Annie?
Post by: tedyarbrough on May 01, 2020, 10:43:08 AM
Friends,
I am working on making a Rio Grande Southern #20 4-6-0 locomotive from a Rio Grande Southern #25 Annie. I want to replace the original steel type cab with a wood style cab. Any instructions or hints on how to remove/replace the locomotive cab? Thank you in advance.

Friends,
Looking specifically about hand rails and detail parts attached to running board on fireman's side and pipes running into the cab. Any ideas? Do they bend and come out? Do the handrails slide in the stanchions? Does the running board slide with pipes attached? Apply any lubrication? I am sure some of you have taken the cab off before. Thoughts? Ideas? Experiences?
