The red circles indicate where the wires are connected to the truck and where they go to. The wires on top were soldered to a board that had led lights for the front and rear.

There are 2 motors. Each set of truck has a motor. The black wires go to the motor. There are only 4 wires.

HO / Pickup for 44 Ton Non DCC
April 08, 2015, 11:49:51 AM
I am trying to put a dcc decoder from another 44 Ton onto  a non dcc 44 ton. There are only 4 wires on the non dcc loco. These wires go to the motors. Where are the wires for the pickup, or how does the loco pickup from the track.

I have the digitrax super chief xtra. It has two knobs for controlling the trains. If both the left and the right knobs have the same address that can cause the problem.

If you are going to use an LED you really don't need a lense

HO / Re: Rivarossi 4-8-8-4 help

TwinZephry is correct. The tubular shaped screw is inserted horizontally. One end of the screw has threads that go into the threads in the bracket. I have done this a few times with my 2-8-8-2. In your photos on photobucket the one in the middle of the first row shows the tubular screw and I am pretty sure the bracket.

That perpendicular silver end plugs into the frame back near where the cab is. Just look for a small hole that is the same size as the silver piece. I have about 20 Rivarossi steamers and have never had your problem.

They don't look like the MBTA commuter rail cars in Boston. I live close to the line and they  are silver with a purple stripe.

HO / Speed matching decoders
June 29, 2013, 04:10:54 PM
I have 2 diesels with decoders. One has sound the other does not. How do I match the speeds so they run good together. I will be using Sprog 2 to program them. Thanks

Thanks for the comments. To on30gn15, the trolley is a Bowser. I painted it in the colors of the MBTA in Boston. They actually still run a trolley on a small line today. Again thanks for all the compliments.
