I need some info, but I am a rookie. I want a electric train but my question is does this one have a transformer that controlls forward, neutral and reverse operation and does it puff smoke and have a whistle and maybe make train noises. This train is for someone else and I am trying to get the train with the most options. Thanks Theresa

The set does include a power pack/speed controller.
The catalog makes no mention of sound or smoke so I think those features are not offered.

You may be looking for a three rail AC set, based on the request for "neutral". All of our On30 trains operate on DC, so they go forward or reverse only. None of the have smoke, and no sets have sound.
You may be happier with a Williams set.
A visit to a local hobby shop may be in order.
