Post by: speeddemon5 on January 07, 2012, 09:45:54 AM
a little careful inspection showed broken wire to front powered truck. no wonder it was slipping...motor is older style worm drive...no way for those front wheels to turn with a still worm gear!! so,repairing or replacing front truck...i can only hope wite didnt "melt off" due to bad motor. thanks again for any replies!!!

I have soldered wires to those trucks when I converted my two truck to DCC. Need a fine tip soldering iron, rosin flux, electronic type solder. I scape the contact a little with a fine tip modeling knife to clean it up.
