Just saw where Model Railroad Magazine is going to publish an article about installing a sound decoder in the Bachmann 44 Tonner and I am stoked. I have 3 late model 44Ts and would love to have sound in them. Has anyone in this forum had any success installing sound in the 44T? Looks tight to me.
I have done two single motor 44 tonners and the single motor 70 tonner with the LokSound Micro and a 16mm x 35mm speaker in my own baffle. The 44 tonner has a beacon.

A short video of one of my 44 tonners with LokSound Micro. Noisy tripod for the camera. This is HO scale, not full scale sound.

Cut with Dremel and diamond cutoff wheel for speaker space.

I kept the tight bulbs.
