Title: Nixon library

Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace Foundation

Hmm the hot link didn't work, but they are hosting a fantastic train show.  It's a bit far for me to go.   A miliary brat friend of mine living in California sent this to me.

Is that the former "Western White House" in San Clemente?
When I was at Camp Pendleton, we used to get our weekend liberty canceled some times.
When there was word of a demonstration to take place there, they would load us up on 6-bys and truck us under the highway to the WWH on the other side.
We'd have to spend the weekend over there, prepared to do riot control. :(

The Nixon Library is located near his birthplace in Yorba Linda CA, about 35 minutes north of El Toro.  Heres a link for the train show:  http://www.nixonlibraryfoundation.org/

I was involved with suporting the Nixon funeral while on the MCAS Station staff.  It was interesting to see most of Washington cycle through our tiny PAX terminal.

Robin,
Thanks for the info. We used to do some our training operations out of El Toro.
