Thomas & Friends / Re: My predictions for 2015.

Judging by the past (three years? Is it?) I feel like we're going to get on engine and a few pieces of rolling stock, but we'll probably get more buildings, like (hopefully) Wellsworth station.

Well I have decided my layout and am trying to get the wood so I can start the Bench work but I still have yet to buy Thomas and friends trains and I have yet to get a list together, but I have a single question to ask is buying Tidmouth sheds worth the 200 dollars it would take to buy it or should I just do something else

Personally, I would say no on that. While Tidmouth Sheds is nice, (I do not own it though!) It doesn't seem too great. You could always build your own with wood/paper/paint etc. It's your decision to make.

Well, I didn't mean the kit itself, what I mean't is it could be fit inside a turnaround loop nicely (although, come to think of it, I'd like to see someone scratch build the sheds)  ::)

I run my american steam/diesel locomotives (and one pannier tank) with my Thomas models all the time!

Try using 22" radius curves they are a lot bigger but they might answer your problem.

Yeah, it seems it's seems that he struggles on 18" radius curves.

I got an idea for a turnaround loop, it could go around tidmouth sheds make it look like that line in season 1.

No offence taken, but say if Bachmann makes engines from the other railway (BCE, D261, D199, Connor and Caitlin, ECT)?
"Tales from the other railway sets" lol, but in all seriousness other railway engines would be great.

Just wondering, how's Gordon on switches, I recently got him (fantastic model) and he struggles a little, is he the same with you? ???

How much space is there between the wheels and chassis? Most engines will have enough room in the center driver for it to "slide" to help it run on curves with ease.

Sounds like the radius is too tight, what radius are they?

Thomas & Friends / Re: Narrator Poll
April 11, 2014, 08:41:37 PM
Carlin is my all time favorite narrator, he gave the show so much life into every character

Ringo Starr was great and also had some great voices, he was the perfect choice to be the first narrator for the series

These narrators aren't really catagorized under any place but here are my thoughts

Angelis: had few funny lines but was too fast in the beginning and his James voice was awkward but I enjoyed lines like the infamous  HAR-HAR!

Baldwin: again, had some weird voices but also had some great voices like STH, Salty, Oliver, and Toad

Brandon: Isn't that bad, even though the narration was odd, you can still tell that he was trying

Brosnan: great narrator, wish he could've stayed longer

Moragan: still curious to see what he has in store.

Rosie would have a better chance as she is on the show more, but mollie might be a wild card as she hasn't been on the show for years but as bachmann released d&d and b&b (remember, this was before s17) she would still have a chance!

Thomas & Friends / Re: Red Branchline Coaches thread

I do think the coaches are a great addition to the line that no one else touched on, also they're NEW COACHES! They seem easier to produce than a piece of rolling stock with it's own tooling ( just change the faces, roofs, and the end of the brake coach, and add a new paint job!)

Also, are these coaches used on the mainline as well? I vaguely remember them in "a close shave for duck"
