Title: On30 Village Street Car
Post by: R1C3P0 on December 14, 2020, 12:57:02 AM
I purchased a Village Street Car set to run through my wife's Department 56 Christmas village.  Promo material said the car stops for 5 to 7 seconds at each end to simulate time for passengers to board.  My set is only stopping for 1 or 2 seconds.  It is basically racing back and forth.  It does an entire round trip in about 15 seconds.  Is there any way to increase the idle time at each end of the track?

Mine has a knob on the back of the 'barn' for adjusting the speed, I think it adjusts the delay as well.

Yes mine has the speed control on the back of the barn.  Haven't noticed that it makes any difference to the wait time.  Also I have to have the speed turned up to about 2/3 to 3/4 or the trolley runs so slow it stops.

There could be buildup on the rails and wheels preventing proper electrical flow at slower speeds.

If you don't have specialized track/wheel cleaner, rubbing alcohol will do in a pinch.
