Title: Wye turnout
Post by: SLUSSERS on May 05, 2009, 11:29:46 AM
Mr. Bachman,
I have 2 of the Bachmann wye turnouts on my current layout. I am pleased with how reliabily they function, and the fact that no matter what direction of travel, or what type of engine or rolling stock I run through them, there are no derailments!
So, my question is this: Can Bachmann use the same QC procedures for the standard left and right turnouts to improve their performance and reliability?
Thanks ;)

I've gotta agree with this, I also have problems with the left and right being wired wrong too.  It tend to cut off power to the wrong track depending on which direction the turnout is set to.

Yes, it's a common lament, the premium pricing ($22.50 at the hobby shop level) on 44861 and 2 should buy a premium quality switch. Let's pick it up Mr. Bachmann! After all we are attempting to "have fun"!
