Just hooked up my Bachman remote turnouts. Train runs fine and switches work, but I have read that I should leave the switch position to off (middle) or they will burn out. Is this true? New to the hobby.

I have 5 tunouts in my layout. 4 Regular and 1 #4. I plan on getting the E Z Command and understand I cannot power turnouts from that unit. Can I power them with 2 DC cab controls?

Was planning on getting the E-Z Command Control system. I have only 2 turnouts planned in my layout at this point. Can I use Bachman regular wired remote turnouts or must I upgrade to the DCC turnouts. The price increase is considerable and I'm looking to keep the cost down.

What is the difference between #4, #5, and regular right/left turnouts.
I have come across a layout but cannot determine which ones they could be. Is there a big difference in them?
Also, how do you include a photo or image into the question on this message board?

My kids received Bachman kits with Steel Alloy E-Z Track. Can I incorporate Nickel Silver E-Z Track and turnouts or do we have to stick with black steel?
