but how do they expect you to letter a car with no decal sets available that I can find.  why would you mfg a coach in d@rgw yellow and not put lettering on it,  I guess I am so used to O gauge and lettered cars that this hobby will be a sit on the shelf for my K 27 and look nice.
Is there a for sale board somewhere on the wwweb where people can list wants and for sale?

I emailed service, got an answer back the next day with price and phone number to call and the part was ordered in less than 24 hours.  Now that is good service.

I have been checking ebay but all I can find is cars with no lettering and they want 200 or more for them or one guy has 4 for 1000. and not lettered.  If I could find one for 150. I would do it but so far the accrucrafts are spendy.

I emailed him afew days ago and have not heard yet.  Hope he can do it.  I've found all the info for #463 online incase he wants to know.  baldwin built in 1903 with typical baldwin locomotive works Philadelipha and builders number which I have written down but can remember right now.  That would look cool on the black plates with brass collered lettering.  I also ordered a brass cinder filter like the one you see on the k27 so that should help make it look better.  Just wish I had room to run it but it is too big but lookes real good on the coffee table in my man cave,.

Large / G scale builders plates

does anyone know if someone makes builders plates for the bachman k27 or decals for such.  I just discovered that in the bag of parts are two curved plastic circles for builders plates for the front of the boiler.  I think they would look dumb just glued on black but would be super cool with a plate decal on.  thanks in advance.

What kind of smoke fluid do you use in the k27 and how much do you put in.  Do you just drop it in the stack.  There are no instructions about it in the manuel.

It appears you loose the great pittman motor with this combo and no mention of price I could find.  15 scale mph seames very slow.  If the current draw is not beyond the max for the motor 24 volts should be ok if it were a pittmann but no mention of the type of motor and designed voltage.

Why are there so many differnent scales withing the category of G scale?   Also why does the new bachmann K 27 end up with 20. 3 and not just 20 to one and why the change from 22? to one?
I;m used to O scale which for 90% of the time is O48

All diodes that I know of that are silicon have a 7/10 of a volt drop to turn on.  When the + cycle goes through your loose 7/10 and when the - pulse goes through another 7/10 is lost.  The total loss is 1.4 volts or 25 volts - 1.4 volts = 23.6 volts which is good enough.   Put on a 5000 uf 35 volt electrolitic and it will jump back up to 25 or more.  This  is what I use on my ho layout all the time and my scope shows me a pure straight line unless I get a fantastic load some ripple will show.
