Thomas & Friends / Re: Emily's Passenger Set HO SCALE
November 06, 2016, 02:57:59 PM
Don't worry, it's not just your Emily, she's deemed as one of the worst haulers. Even when she has the back wheel of her front bogie as an extra motorized wheel too. The only way you're really going to be able to get around that is to look into putting a traction tire on that back front bogie wheel I mentioned.
There's also this item called "Bullfrog Snot", it's a little jar of liquidy goo, and you just apply it to the tyre of an engine, supposedly giving it improved traction. I heard it works really well, but I've never used it myself.

He looks so surprisingly well done! I'm not sure that I'm happy that he isn't going to fit in with everyone else, bar the Class 08's, but the fact that he got a retooled lamp, made me really happy for some reason. Maybe that's a sign for a slight update for James, Thomas, and Percy?

I really don't like using the connector, as I like using the plows with other engines, as I have a couple extras.
I use a little tack on the inside of the sides of the plow, and it sticks right tight in place, as the plow seems to be juuuust a little wider than Thomas' actual running board.

Well the episode I mentioned in my previous post has come out on Amazon (As did the rest of them), and it didn't feature anything I said I'd hope was in there. (Black James, Green Thomas). You'd think I'd be disappointed. I'm not, as the episodes were flat out spectacular. I'm not going to describe the plot of the episodes in anyway, as I don't want to spoil anything, but I'm actually going to add on to my list with the changes I'd like to see to existing models.

-Donald and Douglas get their nameplates moved up.
-Diesel's side rods get a colour scheme, rather them be all plain metal. (Previously I said they should pick the white center, or make them all black.)
-In the one and only appearance of Diesel of these new episodes (Where we can clearly see his wheels), there was this gem of an error: (http://i.imgur.com/o7hyy0Q.png)

Now like I said, that definitely seems to be an error, as only one of them have turned chrome, but until we see Diesel again, as far as we know, maybe the other two being black is actually the error. Either way I certainly prefer the Chrome centers with black rods. That really pops, as compared to the white centers with silver rods, and it most definitely stands out compared to everything being all completely black.

It may sound odd, but at this point I just want recolours/updates for the HO range right now, by that I mean, no more new 'Sodor Salt Van' types of releases. But I doubt Mattel would allow them to release nothing at all, as we all know Mattel is a very money hungry company, especially with the Thomas brand.
But, if they do get a year to just improve on things, I'd like to see:

-The much wanted updated of Thomas and Percy. Their faces, Percy's Bunker, etc.
-Henrietta gaining a face.
-Fix Diesel's side rods, either get them painted in all black, or add the white center, as he never had completely silver rods.
-Off of that, correct the factory errors that have red buffer heads that are popping up more and more.

And if they are to start doing things that would better benefit them, I personally think two things would definitely be:

-Paxton, maybe even Sidney. (Easy recolours of characters that actually have a following. Looking at you Rosie.)
-Recolours that actually make sense (The Mail Vans in liveries seen in the show, not random like 'Live Lobsters', or plain green.)

And personally, if the much anticipated Glynn episode coming up features something from the past, such as a flashback to when he was working on the railway in his prime, I'd really hope James and Thomas may pop up in their previous liveries, and I'd love to think that it would be a big push to a Bachmann/Hornby Green Thomas or Black James release.
Also, being perfectly honest, as I've asked around, and it's obvious that people, including myself, would much rather an LBSC Green Thomas over that celebration one released last year.

Thomas & Friends / Re: GWR Cattle Truck

There's been three liveries on the Cattle wagons in the show:

There's the circus one, only seen in "Henry and the Elephant", as the ones from Season 8 onward use a different basis.

There's the standard brown one, with a dark roof. The one Bachmann originally produced. The last one in the train in the linked photo:

And the last one actually appears to be in the colours of the new GWR one but in a much darker colour scheme, and with a different ownership name painted on the side rather than the GWR shirtbutton logo.

Thomas & Friends / Re: Large Scale Winston
September 01, 2016, 03:13:54 PM
He looks a lot better than I thought he would. My only complaint is the front area, the face seems a bit thin (That's not a problem at all really), and he's missing the pieces on his bumper. (http://i.imgur.com/B5VUYLu.png)

Do you know if he'll be out before Thanksgiving, or will he be another release right before Christmas?

Not sure if this is a good sign, but the Bachmann Branchline website has an approximate date for Winston's release. (As well as the Sound Thomas and Percy)

The only reason I say it may not be a good sign, is the fact that the US site has a price listed for Winston, and the UK one does not. So that could mean they're still spitballing here.

Let me rephrase this. Everything I said was fine to say

but there's no recoil or anything from this, so why not.

The individual who was talking about it to other people, (the one who got the information to begin with) just wanted more information before they would make a page on the Wikia, or something. No contract breaking or anything, I just didn't want to get on his bad side if I 'ruined the surprise' before he was ready to bring it up.

In my original post, I brought up as much information as I needed to to bring my point across about an increase in the possibility of Henrietta, and that much information was fine to say.

I'm not spreading rumours, I'm not trying to create drama, I'm just stating that Henrietta has an increased chance if these emails from the writer turns out to be 100% true.

I apologize if this started something. Could we please get back on the topic.

I can't say everything, because that could get me in trouble with the Writer, the person who started the discussion with said writer, ect. If I could say everything, I would.

All I can say is it came from one of the people from the Wikia who also confirmed Bradford as a character, Who owns the character in the show, his episode bio, and who's going to be in the episode along with him. It's the same writer for both episodes too apparently.

Like I said, if I could tell all the details, I would. But I'd rather not be on people's bad sides.

Fairly certain a a Welsh brakevan doesn't look like Henrietta. :P

I shouldn't really be spreading this around, but there's no recoil or anything from this, so why not.

The coach's name is supposedly 'Hannah'. Starring in the episode "Hasty Hannah". The episode plot seems to basically be 'When Henrietta needs to go to the steamworks to get repaired, Toby gets a relief coach, Hannah, in replace of Henrietta.'

Well it seems the likelihood of Henrietta getting a Large Scale model may have increased.
A new coach character to debut in Season 20 is going to be very similar to Henrietta.
So, like the whole Clarabel using Annie's tooling situation, even though they're different, may be used here.

(This is apparent. No photos yet. The writer confirmed this via email, one can only hope at this point.)

Nothing we haven't seen already was there, in the background of another company talking you can see a (Very blurry but a full picture) of the stuff they were displaying

Full (Blurry) shot - http://i.imgur.com/FINKDpx.png
Clear (With people in the way) shot - http://i.imgur.com/LSf455e.png

-Looks like the 3 figures (Sir Topham Hatt, Conductor and Farmer McColl), Then James, and Emily
-Second shelf has the new Fruit and Vegetable car, the new GW Van, Emily's Coach, and (what I would assume) The Sound Thomas
-Third shelf shelf is Toby, S.C. Ruffey, Ice Cream Wagon, Cream Tanker, a Troublesome Truck, and (what I would assume) The Sound Percy

Unfortunate that the Explosives Van wasn't there. Especially considering it's supposed to be out this month with the rest of them...

He's going to be in his CGI form.  They base it off their promos as with Skarloey.

To be fair, Skarloey isn't really based off of his appearance in CGI. The detailing, such as the rivets, and the number plate on the back of the cab, indicates that it's more so Talyllyn in Skarloey's livery, with the face of course.

Maybe they can't decide if Oliver should be model or CGI based. :P
